so i watched a movie with david last night. King Kong. not a big movie goer like Shanna, but since getting hooked up with netflix i have been a movie watching fool. anyway--i put King Kong in my queue since i thought it might be ok to watch. i remember it didn't get great reviews, but hey--i was curious as to how the special effects were. if you haven't seen the movie yet and don't want to know how it ends--stop reading now! :) the movie pretty much stunk--in my opinion--and i was severely disapointed with a lot of it--namely the length, the stupid additition of dinosaurs and every gross, gigantic, mutated bug/insect. anyway--the best part of the whole movie was right near the end. when king kong takes ann up to the top of the empire state building. david leans over and asks me if the empire state building was in fact built during the time period of when the movie takes place. are you kidding me? you can deal with a 40 foot monkey, dinosaurs and 10 feet long centipedes but the fact that the empire state building might not have been there would be a disapointment?? funny stuff from my hubby--he does make me laugh!!

Well I am with David on that one Lisa. Sorry. You know how us freaks have to worry about the details and making sure those square brads are straight. ;)

I think I'll cross that movie off my list.

Lisa that is funny. The only thing I liked about KIng Kong is the actor 'Adian Brody' He has the saddest eyes in the world. I love that guy.. Have a GREAT DAY, TAmmi

Yeah, I didn't even bother to watch it. I've been really disappointed in movies lately. I can't remember the last one I went to that was a MUST see.

yep - it WAS bad, wasn't it? we just watched it the other night.

btw - the movie took place in 1933. the ESB was completed in nov 1930, so the answer to david's question is YES! :D

Ummmmmmmmmm.....I could have saved you the agony Lisa!!! Saw it of course in the theatre and it was PAINFULLY long! Not to mention highly disturbing! You didn't even touch on those satanic looking aboriginees (I'm 100% sure I spelled that wrong) And the scenes with all billion or so creatures could have been cut in half then half again. Laura.....thanks for the research on that one....I might not have slept tonight. :o) Tammi....I am with you on Adrian. Cutie patootie!

I never bothered to put it in my NF queue after Shanna panned it. Thanks for confirming that! ;)

I've seen quite a few of the other ones too and I still like the chick flicks and teeny bopper movies and I'm 35!!! Dawson's Creek is still one of my fav TV shows! LOL! You left a comment on one of my LO's if you wondered who I am...be_scrappy=D.
